The Tappan Library is proud to offer our community a special virtual assembly on Wednesday, March 3 from 9:50am to 11am to kick off March Is Reading Month, a celebration by Read Across America.

We will be hosting former Tappan student and popular children's author, Sarah Weeks, who wrote the book So B. It (which was made into a blockbuster movie). Sarah will share her experience as a writer from Ann Arbor, her writing process, information about her stories, and more.

Check out this cool slideshow of high interest literature for Black History Month containing wonderful current fiction titles by popular African American authors. Most of these titles are already in Sora or on the shelves at Tappan, so feel free to use this slideshow in your lessons. Check 'em out!
